Nevada City and the California Gold Country experience a diverse set of seasons. Spring time brings mild and pleasant weather, blooming flowers and is perhaps the nicest time of year. July brings hot sunny weather for the annual Tour of Nevada City Bike Race. In the fall, the city is awash with color as the trees shed their leaves. Winter is often chilly with an occasional dusting of snow.
